Katie's birthday falls on Easter this year so the weekly Sunday BBQ at the Finike Marina served as a good venue for all the festivities.
We have stowed or installed most of the gear we brought in the twelve bags of luggage and are now getting into more of the social life around the marina. The cruisers here organize excusions to various tourist sites, picnics, music classes, pilates, charity bazaars, as well as pub, movie & lecture nights at the marina clubhouse.
The local farmer's market has excellent produce (including baby ducks & chicks) and the supermarkets, butcher shops and fish markets are well stocked and cheap if you eat local goods. Our next project is to stock up on all this good food while we are still in a marina where loading is easy. We may not be tied up like this again for a year and have to bring provisions aboard via dinghy thru surf etc.
